In India, not many houses have very huge yard space. Pets are kept even in small apartments and hence they are required to be kept on a leash sometimes. Tying up your dog needs to be done with certain aspects considered. Keeping your dog on leash plays an important role while training your dogs as well.
Dogs can be tied up while they are trained for certain basic commands like sit, stay, etc.. Not all training sessions also require your dogs to be tied up.
Tying Up Your Dog: When You Need To Do So?
Please be aware that keeping your dog tied up for a longer period of times, might make them aggressive as they are always on a leash and are unable to interact with other members in the family. Tying up your dog should not be a punishment. It can be used to manage your dog when there are guests at home and to keep the dog away from them.
Keeping your dog tied all the time through the day is not helpful and also has a very negative impact on your pet.
Factors To Be Considered While Tying Up Your Dog:
a. If there is an absolute need to tie up your dog, then do it only while you are at home. Do not leave the house leaving a dog tied to a leash.
b. When you need to tie up your dog, do so in a shady place preferably inside the house. It is going to be very hot outside and the dog may not be able to move around.
c. Place plenty of fresh clean water accessible to the dog while tying up your dog in a leash.
d. Check the surrounding where your dog is tied up. Make sure there are no sharp or harmful products where the dog could get hooked or injured.
e. Setting up a small place for him in the house and training him to stay in that place can be a great alternative instead of tying the dog.
f. Do not leave your dog tied up at nights. This is because everyone might be asleep and the dog may need to get around for water. They might also look around the house and in turn guard you and your home.
g. Always tie them up to a long leash fitted with a comfortable collar.
Keeping your dogs chained is going to do more good than you what you actually see. Try to keep them off chains as much as possible and enjoy the cuddles.

Keeping dogs in a humane environment may mean to follow the rules associated with the golden rule if human and animal empathy guides rulemaking. Neither excessive control, nor neglect could be the answer to humane treatment to prohibit violence and aggression.
I have three small dogs. I tie them out side for a few hours every day. They can not be in a fenced yard to run together with out being watched. Because they have to be separated in order to be fed. I want to be sure that they are all eating their own food. And other reasons. Is it against the law what I am doing. I do not have any fencing yet. I want to get one put up but I have a hard time to get someone to help me do it.
I have them in the house with me most of the time.
They do not live on them chains.
They are inside the house with me at night. I have predictors here. I love my dogs I don’t want anything to happen to them
What do I do? Am I in the wrong? Or am I doing the right thing
